So good, no pictures

Dinner was a fantastic rotisserie chicken from the farmers market, with green bean from our visit to the stands two weeks ago. I have eaten it all, so there are no pictures for proof. Yes, I know, pics or it didn’t happen. You’ll just have to take my word on this one.

However, this neatly encapsulates my favorite things about local foods:

  1. The food tastes like food. There is none of that “it tastes like chicken” malarkey. Chicken has a favor, people. And it’s awesome.
  2. Local veggies stay fresh forever. Better still would be out of my garden, but only the chard volunteered this year and I love green beans. But still, two week old veggies from the grocery would be slimy and revolting by now.
