My husband was in a car accident Thursday. He's fine, the car's not really messed up (it seems to be mostly cosmetic damage), but it seems to have shaken him pretty badly. He came home last night talking about taking the bus to work so he can avoid the idiot drivers out there (the accident wasn't his fault, a really old man nailed him from behind). I'm torn between supporting him riding the bus and forcing him to drive more just to get over the paranoia he's experiencing about other drivers.

It seems to be going around, the James was in an accident this last week as well... I don't know if it's because everyone's desperate around the holiday, or what.... Hope the hubby's ok!!

Physically fine, mentally wonked out. How's James? That's really weird that they were both in accidents...

ack! i'm glad he's ok.

after i was a passenger in an accident (not even my fault - a mutual friend of ours drove into a wall), it took me a long time before i was comfortable driving *or* riding in a car with anyone. but i think it was really important that i just kept doing it so that i got over the fear - i think his reaction is pretty normal, but i don't think that not driving will help ... IMO.

Thanks. That's pretty much what I was thinking but its *really* nice to hear someone else say it too.
