I haven't known what to post about Katrina... it's so overwhelming. There's just so much going on that doesn't make any sense at all. Why the heck did Greyhound shut down Saturday? Why isn't more going on to get those peopel evacuated? Who's telling the truth about what's happening at the Convention Center? But then I read this interview with the Mayor of New Orleans. I feel a bit better, if only because this guy is pissed as hell. At least he's trying, and he has some power.
This is my checklist for what I can do to make a difference.
Donate to someone. I personally prefer Mercy Corps to the Red Cross - more of their money goes to the cause. (I'm contracting, so I don't get to use my company matching. If your company does matching, take advantage.)
