DeLay supporters prove themselves poor public speakers

I love it when politicians find themselves on the business end of an indictment. They always say the worst, most inane thing possible. Or at least, that's what comes across in the news. For example, from the idictment of DeLay:

“I have notified the speaker that I will temporarily step aside from my position as majority leader pursuant to rules of the House Republican Conference and the actions of the Travis County district attorney today,” DeLay said in a statement.
Blunt said he was confident DeLay would be cleared of the allegations and return to his leadership job. "Unfortunately, Tom DeLay's effectiveness as Majority Leader is the best explanation for what happened in Texas today," Blunt said.
Congressman DeLay is a good ally, a leader who we have worked closely with to get things done for the American people,” McClellan said. “I think the president’s view is that we need to let the legal process work."
Madden later added: “They could not get Tom DeLay at the polls. They could not get Mr. DeLay on the House floor. Now they’re trying to get him into the courtroom. This is not going to detract from the Republican agenda.”

Emphasis above is all mine. Let's look at these statements of the obvious, shall we? First, DeLay admits he only took that action because he was forced to. He didn't step aside because he might be out in court for a while, oh no; he had to because of the rules. Second, he claims that he's been effective. What has he done other than publicly declare that there's no fat in the government? Third, McClellan is an idiot. Either that or the President is. Either way, I'm happy. The last one scares me the most. If charges of immorality don't affect their agenda of being the Most Moral People in the Country, what the hell will? Also, has Madden ever heard of a Grand Jury? Does he know what they do? Yeesh. They're all idiots, but at least the resulting news is funny.

And DeLay is a ham sandwich....:)

No they don't understand much, and people aren't rasing holy hell about this. No one on the left is spinning the spin. This is stupid. Cliton smoked pot and the end of the world is here...DeLay did something very illegal and "is a target of the liberal media."

There's a book you should read....everyone should read...I'll post something on my journal about it in the next couple of days.

I've ginve up taking politics seriously. I mean, Brown is now a consultant with FEMA? There's something really wrong with that. But these articles are freaking hilarious. Idiots.

The Republican Agenda is merely to APPEAR to be the most moral people in the country. By spinning it so that the liberal media is really to blame, they can maintain that.
