The cure for "boring"

I was feeling very boring and irrelevant over the weekend until I read this post on saving LJ. It struck me because I know most of us go through cycles of feeling like we're too boring to post anything and that people are just humoring us by keeping us on their FList. I know I certainly feel like I have nothing new or interesting to say on a regular basis.

However! It's finally occurred to me that other people won't be bored with the stories I tell because they haven't lived them. Why was that so hard to see? I wish I knew. Anyway, this may result in far more posting, particularly of the weird things that happen to me on a regular basis.

But now I'm off to get my hair cut. Waiting 6 months between appointments isn't always a bad thing...

OMG a haircut!!! That NEVER happens to me!

(actually, it doesn't...I should go get one of those.)

LOLZ. Just teasing. ;P

Yeah, I know. Exciting life. ;)

Isn't it funny how haircuts fall to the bottom of a list of priorities?

I can relate, to a degree. I can't remember the last time I posted anything of merit, or at least thought provoking. :)

Yep. I think we all go through phases like that. Meaningful posts are hard to produce. :)

For what it's worth, I always enjoy your posts. Most of my FriendBots have been on my FriendBots list for so long that even the what-I-di-today posts are things that I enjoy, because they're little glimpses into the lives of friends.

See, that's exactly it. I forget that I love reading about all the little stuff that happens to people and that it actually might apply to me too. But now I have a handy little reminder. :)
