What was that middle part again?

This morning my husband finally grokked what I do for a living. We've been together for 7 years, and he's just now figuring out how I spend my days. That cracks me up.

Seriously? Shut the hell up!

This is a man that lives in his head. (I also have a terrible time describing what I actually do with my days.) But yeah. Funny.

Seven years of not knowing? That's bizarre. But then, my ex and I did more or less the same thing for a living, so obviously, I was pretty accustomed to an automatic level of "get". Did he listen, however? Not so much.

Yeah, the listening. I think he understood the basics, but really had no idea as to the extent of how crazy this job is. I think I scared him this morning when I told him I was working on 4+ projects and building out a system. As a developer, he does one thing at a time if he can help it. If only I could get away with that!

My work isn't a one at a time thing, either. It's all very mishmashy and DO IT NOW. I'm not always great with the multi-tasking on that level, but I manage. I can't imagine having only one thign to concentrate on at a time.

Now I'm sort of curious as to what he thought you did.

I wish I could tell you. But this morning I could see the light come on as he related my job to what he needs in his office.

I think the scenario probably went something like this

Allthough
this is possible too.

You should feel good about that...my wife will probably never figure it out...
