Spring here we come

Wow, things have been quiet on the blog lately. It’s been a busy, nasty winter and I’m just now getting around to dreaming about seeds and spring in a big way. Of course, it’s going to be an extra bit of work as we didn’t put the garden to bed properly but it’s nothing a good tiller can’t handle.

Today’s mail was awesome and inspiring. I ordered a subscription to the Canal House cookbooks1 for this year and books 4 and 5 showed up. I’m so excited it’s not even funny. The recipes in there for veggies and fish are so amazingly tempting and I really can’t wait to try the one for halibut and lentils. Especially when my garden produces the fennel it requires. There’s even a section on canning with tomato preserves. I can’t wait for spring!
