My family gets glasses at the age of 40. That's when our eyesight goes and we need magnification, both my mother and my father hit this at the same 40 year milestone. I have just been prescribe my first set of glasses for every day wear. I'm none too happy about this as I'm not yet 40, but I'm also hoping that catching it early will slow the progression and eliminate those afternoon headaches. Fortunately I seem to have selected frames well, as everyone who's noticed the change has said they it me, and look natural. They also make the "unhappy teacher" face much easier to pull off, so that's a bonus.
