Counterproductive camoflauge

The deer are thick this year, showing even in the yard right outside our basement. This one is a young buck, his antlers are just starting to show. Unfortunately I don’t think his coloring will be an advantage come hunting season, even if it is really interesting. He might get lucky though and pass for a cow.

OH that's so beautiful. My eyes are so sick of the tired and brown that we have going on here now.

I've never seen an appaloosa deer before!

Although I guess he's more of a paint....

I was thinking variegated when I saw him, but you're right that he's closer to a horse than a plant. :)
